Panorama: Star Trails over the Lower Zambezi River

By:
Jacob Chinn

More than 300 photos make up this image of star trails over the Lower Zambezi River in Zambia. An elephant grazes at dusk in the lower-right corner. Taken from the deck of the Royal Zambezi Lodge, this time-lapse image is a tribute to the amazing journey experienced by UA Alumni Association travelers on a trip to southern Africa.

UAAA staff photographer Jacob Chinn hosted alumni and friends on stops in South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. Along the way, travelers learned about the history of the region and enjoyed seeing lions, leopards, rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elephants, and a multitude of other beautiful African animals.
