The UA Alumni Association License-Plate Scholarship program is an easy way to support UA students while showcasing your Wildcat pride!
- The state of Arizona charges a $25 initial application fee and a $25 annual renewal fee for University of Arizona Wildcat license plates.
- The UA Alumni Association receives $17 of both the initial and annual renewal fees to award scholarships to UA students.

How To Purchase A University Of Arizona Wildcat License Plate
If you wish to purchase a University of Arizona Wildcat license plate and support UA students, you can visit an Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division office or order your University of Arizona Wildcat plate online.
There are no special requirements to purchase these license plates — they are available to everyone!
Personalized and Disability License Plates
- University of Arizona Wildcat license plates can be personalized with maximum of five characters.
- University of Arizona Wildcat license plates also are available as disability license plates, for parking in reserved parking spaces marked with the International Symbol of Access,
. No additional fee is charged to add a disability symbol to an Arizona Wildcat license plate.

The UA Alumni Association awards academic scholarships to students through its chapters and clubs programs and with the charitable support of donors, friends, and the Arizona community.
- Awarding scholarships is one of the most important things we do at the UA Alumni Association. In fact, in the last year alone, we awarded nearly $750,000 in scholarships to more than 400 students through our chapters and clubs program!
- Scholarships provide access to college for students who otherwise could not afford it, bring the best and brightest minds to the UA, and energize the economy through employment, internships, and research.

Criteria For License-Plate Scholarship Program Recipients
UA Alumni Association scholarships are awarded in two categories: Merit-based — to attract and retain students of exceptional academic quality, and need-based — for students who demonstrate great financial need. (Need-based scholarship applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.)
