Kasey Urquídez

Kasey Urquídez has dedicated her life to all facets of education. 

A proud graduate of the University of Arizona, Urquídez earned her bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences. Since then, she has earned master’s degrees from Chapman University and the University of Arizona as well as a doctoral degree in educational leadership with a concentration in higher education administration from Northern Arizona University. 

Urquídez has a passion for promoting access to and equity in college for all students. Currently, she is the University of Arizona’s vice president for enrollment management and dean of undergraduate admissions.

In her role, Urquídez serves as the university’s chief enrollment strategist, overseeing the offices of Undergraduate Admissions; Early Academic Outreach; New Student Services & Orientation; Scholarships and Financial Aid; Parent Family Programs; and Access, Engagement & Opportunity, which includes Career Development and Student Engagement.

Further championing education, she is a member of many regional and national boards. She serves as a board director for the National Association of College Admissions Counseling, as trustee and vice chair for the Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona, as an advisory board member for Southern Arizona’s Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and as a member of Cambridge Assessment’s Higher Education Western Regional Council. She previously served as trustee for the College Board, on the executive board for Arizona Women in Higher Education, and as a commissioner for the American Commission on Postsecondary Education and for the Metropolitan Education Commission. 

Her efforts have earned her a list of achievements as impressive as her dedication to the field of education. In 2012, she was selected as one of Tucson’s 40 under 40. She received the University of Arizona’s College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences Distinguished Alumni of the Year award in 2016. She was inducted into the Greek Hall of Fame by the Order of Omega in 2021 and was selected as the Outstanding Community College/University Advocate by the Metropolitan Education Commission in 2022. 

She is married to Alberto Urquídez and a proud mom to Wildcat alum Marciela and current Wildcat Antonio.
