This holiday season, Student-Made Arizona is bringing festive spirit to entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona. The experiential learning program, led by student managers, supports young entrepreneurs through pop-up markets, mentorship, and workshops that help them get their products in front of customers and grow their brands in real time.
At its core, Student-Made believes students are not just learners, but artists, makers, and small business owners. Jewelers, photographers, herbalists, and other visionaries are building community and learning skills that will serve them long after graduation. “Meeting customers face to face inspires me to keep building my own story through my paintings,” shared creator Ashley Limbaugh.
Student-Made teamed up with Made in Tucson (MinT) for a Nov. 30 market — an all-local event in Arizona, featuring more than 250 makers. With MinT resident artist Johnny Carrillo, students designed the official event logo, learned screen-printing, and prepared limited-edition merch. “It’s given us a real look into the professional design process,” said manager Hannah Contardi.
Everything purchased from Student-Made creators goes directly to them, fueling their businesses. Whether at a pop-up, online, or through custom orders, the program is grateful to share student work with the community.
