Alumni Email is Moving

Dear university alumni,

As part of continued efforts to enhance the effectiveness of IT operations and strengthen email security, the university will migrate your alumni email account from Gmail in Google to Outlook in Microsoft 365 on Nov. 4, 2025.

In addition, we will discontinue your university-managed Google account, including access to applications such as Photos, Drive, Docs and Sheets, on Nov. 25, 2025. After this date, any remaining content in your university Google account will be deleted and unrecoverable and your university Google account will no longer be active.

Beginning Nov. 4

  • You will access your university email at outlook.arizona.edu using your university email address. You will need your NetID, password and 2-factor authentication to log in to your university account.
  • Gmail messages and calendar events will be transferred to your new Outlook email account.
  • Your university Gmail account will no longer send or receive email after this date.

Action needed before Nov. 25

  • Log in to your university Google account and go to Google Apps (Docs, Drive, Photos, etc.) to save or migrate any documents, photos, or data you wish to retain. You will find guidance and resources for transferring files in our Gmail Storage and Move Files knowledge article.
  • If you have signed up for applications or websites (for example, YouTube) using your university Google account as a primary login identifier, you will need to update your profile with a different email address to continue to access these platforms.
