The Engineering Alumni Council was founded in 1983, making it one of the oldest University of Arizona alumni communities. The community focuses on providing scholarships for future Wildcats and networking opportunities for graduating engineering students.

Three Policies of the Engineering Council:
I. The purpose of this chapter shall be the advancement of education at the College of Engineering of the University of Arizona.
II. Promoting and raising the standards of the engineering profession.
III. Develop, encourage and sponsor programs in consultation with the dean of the college. Develop the spirit of fellowship of the members and promote the educational and professional goals of the chapter.
The Engineering Council hosts three large events throughout the calendar year. The annual spring and fall breakfasts encourage engineers and guests to enjoy a meal together while listening to a guest speaker and a visit from the dean. The breakfast focuses on updating attendees about what is going on in the UArizona engineering world. The council also hosts an annual Toss for Scholarships event. The main goal of this competitive cornhole tournament is to raise scholarship money for incoming freshmen entering the College of Engineering.
