Tucson, AZ | Read Between the Bars Volunteer Opportunity

Read Between the Bars is a 100% volunteer-led organization that sends free books to people incarcerated in Arizona's state and federal prisons. Their philosophy is simple: A book can change a life. Books can provide a respite from the tedium of prison, teach new skills and spark interests that benefit individuals both during incarceration and after release. The University of Arizona's Poetry Center is home to the organization's only public drop box. Our goal is to collect and deliver as many eligible book donations as possible during September.
