University of Arizona Homecoming is an annual event that welcomes back alumni along with students and community members to celebrate long-held traditions that uphold the mission of the university.

What's New?

  • Reunion and Silver & Sage events combined into one reception
  • Possible introduction of new leadership
  • Use the Hub to learn about all Homecoming events and resources

The Strategy

The Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement (PAE) department will begin to market Homecoming to alumni beginning with a "Save the Date" mention in the May Alumni Insider. Homecoming will continue to be marketed in email communications throughout the summer. Beginning with the August Alumni Insider, PAE will begin to include registration calls to action in email communications to all alumni.

Social media posts from the @arizonaalumni and @supportuaz channels will begin this summer with full social marketing efforts kicking up in August to coincide with the start of the fall semester. A social media toolkit will be provided for featuring a timeline, sample posts as well as access to photos, videos and graphics.

A reunion save-the-date along with an official invite to all 50th reunion members and Silver and Sage Society members.

Reunion members will be asked to donate in support of their class gift.

There will be opportunities to advertise events on the central Homecoming page as well as participate in the Wildcat for Life Tailgate by hosting tents. The Homecoming toolkit will provide assets and guidelines that provide a cohesive message to our audiences.

All events, especially the Lighting of "A" Mountain, will be advertised to the larger community through social media and print advertisements.
